Tours - The Stockholm card is a wise investment
for a touring traveller in Stockholm. The card can
be purchased for 24, 48, or 72 hours depending on
your preference and gives the bearer free admittance
to several tours within the city. In addition the
card entitles you to free admittance to a great deal
of the cities museums and offers you free transport
via the cities bus, metro and train system. With the
purchase of each card you are also given a guidebook
that can help you in manoeuvring around the city.
The Stockholm Card can be obtained
rather inexpensively and can make your travel in Stockholm
much easier as well as less expensive. The cards can
be purchased from the cities tourist office, or online
from a variety of different vendors. In some instances
a hotel will include the price of a Stockholm card
in your hotel reservation, ask your hotel when making
reservations if the price does include a Stockholm
card.
It is highly recommended that when Touring
Stockholm, you do it at least once by water.
Stockholm is a truly amazing city to see via boat.
There are a multitude of boat tours that are available,
and some are free with your Stockholm card. In addition
to the boat tours that include the entire city there
are several smaller bus tours available as well as
individual tours of museums and historic buildings.
For bus tours you would purchase a 24-hour pass for
the bus, and are free to get on and off the tour at
stops as desire.
